Once again, I'm catching up.... Back in March, we went to St. George for the annual NRPA conference Cole goes to for work. We decided to take the kids again, since we knew we wouldn't be able to go anywhere for spring break. So these pictures are chronologically backwards, but we stopped at Cove Fort on the way back from St. George. The kids really enjoyed it, except we were still dressed in our summer clothes, but it was really cold, so we wrapped up in blankets!
This is the loft in the the cabin where Pres. Hinckley's grandparents and their 11 children lived while the fort was being built. ( There's a long history behind it, if you want to google it.) All 11 children slept in this loft! I remind my kids of it when they start to complain...
These are pix of the insides of the rooms in the fort...that's the Elder that gave us the tour.

Typical children's clothing for church.
Up on the top of the fort looking down.
This is Pres. Hinckley's grandma's chair, one of 2 original pieces that were at the fort at the time it was in use. The rest of the furniture is from that time, but brought in from other sources.

Then, of course the kids had to spend every possible moment in the pool! This is Caleb with water wings on his feet...
This kid would live in the water if I let him...he's a fish!

Karly spent most of the time in the hot tub because she's always cold!
